A Wonderful Weekend... Family Time!

Since Bill and I started Full-Time RVing nearly 13 years ago, family get-togethers have been few and far between.  Yeah, we see everyone at least once a year, but seldom get the chance to see everyone at the same time.
I thought it had been over 13 years since I saw my son and daughter together, but they reminded me of the cruise we all took 5 years ago.  Don't you love it when your kids correct you..  and they're right!?
Well, this past weekend was special!
Bill & I are back in Ohio for a few weeks.  Our son lives here in Athens as does my sister and brother.  Our daughter lives in NY, and my siblings kids live in various cities in Ohio.
Donna and Glenn (son-in-law) were able to plan a long weekend and come to Ohio for a visit.  We planned to have a "family dinner" at a local restaurant, and hoped at least a few of the family could attend.

WOW!  My sister and my brother...  AND every one of their kids (and grandkids) came!
All the cousins were together for a great visit.
Hugs, Hugs and More Hugs!
They all were so happy to see each other and catch up on their lives.
I might mention here that finally, after 50 years, I'm able to tell Kim and Cindy, my brother's twin daughters, apart.... but only if I see them together.

The Cousins
Back row:  Cindy, Kim, Kristin, Caitlin, Ernie (Cindy's spouse), Glenn (Donna's spouse)
Front Row:  Danny, Chris, Cindy (Chris's wife), Donna, Cassidy, Calista, and Tammie
The only ones who couldn't come were Donna's daughters... one lives in San Diego, CA, the other would have had to drive 10 hours with a 2 year old, our great-granddaughter.

We asked the waitress to take a group photo of us all...
Same folks...  except my brother is on the far left, and my sister and I are on the far right with Bill behind Cynthia.

Quite a group, aren't we?

We had another get-together out on our farm the following day, but on such short notice, not as many were able to attend.  Soccer games and such were already on the schedule.

This was a very special weekend for me...  and I think it's one we'll all remember and treasure.

Yep!  She's one of us.

That's All For Today!

  10. Wonderful. It appears your family is enlarging. We realized recently, ours is dwindling. Not a whole lot of aunts and uncles has produced mighty few cousins.
