Oh Really?

What?
You expected me to write a blog today?

Well, after 79 days (I think...  but I may have lost count) of diligently keeping a daily log of our life here in Costa Rica, I fizzled out today...

We didn't even walk to town.
I didn't even hang out the hummingbird feeder because those darned wood bees took over and keep the lovely Cinnamon Hummer from even coming close to one of the ports.

Yeah...  I did laundry...  nothing like sheets and towels that have dried outside on the clothes line to make a person feel pampered come bedtime.

And I mopped the floor...  twice...
Only because I spilled a box of wine (what a waste) shortly after mopping it the first time.

I knit some on my latest pair of socks...  read some in my latest book...  got caught up reading a bunch of blogs that I've missed.

So...  maybe tomorrow I'll get back in the groove....

But...
That's All For Today!

  1. Oh, other than the mopping of the floor, especially the second time(!), it sounds like a fabulous day. Isn't it wonderful that you can do that after working so hard for so many years? Enjoy. I'm bumping along on my return to California that was unexpected; I'm resolved to it now and I've switched on the, "So, okay, a little different new adventure train of thinking . . ." I'm currently in an RV park right on the border of Texas and New Mexico, heading towards Arizona within the next few days and a nice visit with relatives . . . Check out this video of Starlings:

  2. It's very hard to write a daily blog even when you are somewhere as fascinating as Costa Rica. There are just some days I can't get motivated to write!

  3. Sounds like a busy day! And 79 days of daily posts--you're entitled to a dry day...so to speak.

  4. Even a short posting with a relaxing day is still part of you daily log, I have been doing ours since 2006.
That is what you are doing. Relax and enjoy.

  5. Is that a Green Heron in the photo?? Nice shot! Everyone needs to take a break now and then.

  7. You are still interesting even though you think you have nothing to say. Would worry about you if you didn't post every day.

  8. Mopping the floor with wine...must be a Spanish thing, eh? LOL You need to take a break from blogging now and then. Life doesn't need to be constantly documented, just enjoyed! You do that so well, both of you.

  9. I sympathize. My problem is rather opposite--too much grey and white to photograph and think of writing about. Too much of anything is too much.

  11. I don't know how you keep up with your blog as much as you do. Teri and I have regular "down" periods where neither of us feels like writing.
