Get the idea?
Yep! That's Bill... walking home from class today.
That pretty much sums up today....
Well, I will add a photo of our class...
On the left front is Saya, from Japan.
Behind her is Ebba, from Norway...
On the far right is Bill..
And front right is Naoko, from Japan.
I'll write more about our class when it's finished. We have only 6 more days of lessons and then Bill & I will have completed our scheduled time here.
Students come and go .... some come for just a week, some for 2 weeks... a month... 2 months... longer....
Naoko started the same day as Bill & I so we've become good friends. We've met folks of all ages and from many different countries.
But... more of that later.
We have homework today and since it's raining we'll forego our usual walk and study this afternoon.
Not so bad... we're working on fruits, vegetables and other foods. Always a favorite subject of mine.
That's All For Today!
Arroz con poyo? (probably misspelled) :(
ReplyDeleteChicken with rice... (chicken is pollo, but I mispelled 9 out of 10 words on our spelling test yesterday because I spelled them phonetically.)... I loved the frowny face at the end... one of our sons in law is working in Nigeria... he has chicken with rice nearly every meal. Occasionally they fix something different... rice with chicken ;-) We were at their house one time when he got back for a couple of months... Bill & I fixed up a huge bag of all kinds of chicken and rice foods from the grocery... told him that it should keep him from getting lonesome for Africa ;-) Aren't we thoughtful in-laws? But... we don't have chicken very often here... ham (jamon) is the meat of choice... sliced VERY thin.. or chorizo.. or some other way to cure ham....
DeleteKnowing the names of foods should be valuable for you living in Texas and traveling. Spanish is a good second language wherever you go!
ReplyDeleteI take photos of foods all the time... tomorrow I'm taking my laptop to class to find out what some of those mysterious foods are... I'll have to report back in a blog...
DeleteOh, gee, spelling shouldn't count!
ReplyDeleteWe had rain today, too... after the 7 inches of snow! :-) March... in like a lion...
I didn't know that Ryder spoke Spanish... "sentarse" seems like a mouthful... he better learn "sit".
DeleteMy hubby is Cajun. He always says that his father believed if there wasn't chicken and rice on the table there was nothing to eat.
ReplyDeleteRain (and thunder and lightning) here yesterday, too. But today is brilliant! Hope you're experiencing the same.
ReplyDeleteJust think! You could also be learning some Japanese! OK, maybe not.
