Looking Through Rose Colored Glasses?

We got rain...
Sort of....  about 10 drops fell on the rig around 8pm...
But someone got rain....
We got the rainbow!
This rainbow was arched high in the sky.

It was kind of strange because the sky was mostly red and pink.
With some angry clouds of blues and purple mixed in.

Our whole world was cast in shades of pink...
There's a lot of sky up here near Four corners....

After about a half hour of living in a rose-colored world, the sky darkened...
But....  still no rain.

And the rainbow disappeared in the darkness.

Meanwhile...  I'm still working on the getting a good hummingbird shot....
Maybe today I'll have success....

That's All For Today!

  1. Beautiful sky. No artist can paint a sky more beautiful than God can.

  2. Your sky are just amazingly beautiful! I really like the mixture of colors and the mood it creates. Good luck with the Hummer shots. I'll be waiting to see some!

  3. Beautiful sky and photos. I lived in Provence, France many years ago and each day in the late afternoon (Fall and Winter) the 'air' became rose-colored. It was wonderful, putting one in a good mood, no matter what. I'm not exactly sure why it occurred every day, but I appreciated it. Your photos look just as I remember Southern France. Thank you for sharing them.

  5. I'd call that last one a good hummingbird shot!

I love the fact that someone else got the rain but you and Bill got the rainbow. That says it all.
